Podcast cover art: size and rules

Your cover is the first thing a listener sees, often as a tiny square. It should read at thumbnail size.
- Make it squarePodcast directories expect a square image. Apple Podcasts asks for between 1400 and 3000 pixels on each side, as JPG or PNG.
- Keep it simpleA strong shape and few words. Small text is unreadable at thumbnail size.
- Make it in VandcastDescribe the cover and get square art, or upload your own picture. Uploads are cropped to a 3000 by 3000 pixel JPG.
- Mind the rightsUse images you have the right to use. Do not put another show's name or logo on yours.
- Check your hostHosts and directories can add their own limits on file size and content. Check theirs before you upload.
Tip: Look at it at the size of a postage stamp before you decide.
